MoveOn.org
MoveOn.org is an online network that connects people with national, left-leaning, grassroots political
organizing. Using the site's "ActionForum software, you can propose issue priorities and strategies. Others will
see and respond to your suggestions, and the most strongly supported ideas will rise to the top." The
organization adopts "the issues that rise to the top as...campaign priorities, on a cyclical basis," circulating
petitions, raising money and awareness, publishing articles, and coordinating meeting times and locations.

TIPS Watch
A site from the American Civil Liberties Union advocating that the government cease TIPS, the Terrorist
Information and Prevention System, a program intended to "recruit workers in our communities to report
suspicious, supposedly terrorist-related activity to the government." Provides background about the program,
how to contact legislators, news updates, and a downloadable doorhanger "to let others know that the
privacy of your home is protected by the ACLU."
