Erebus
Blew away my version 2.x wizard, CrashLagster, to make room for an elven wiz. Tried several different male elf wizards through all those wipes during the version 3.x beta period, such as Taxiarchai (a good elf with an arch-angle motif) and a Drow elf by the name of Tantilus. The notion of a Drow elf stuck but, unfortunately for me, someone else already had the name Tantilus in ver. 2.x so I was unable to keep it. To find a suitable replacement name for the new character I logged onto The Encyclopedia Mythica and started poking around for something dark and sinister. Nothing struck me as well as Tantilus so I settled on the best alternative I could locate: Erebus. The sound of the name doesn't suit my fancy but the myth behind it, which is given in the bio, fits well.
Erebus made level 500 on 31 Oct 2000.
